Intensifiers (absolutely, extremely, really, totally) strengthen an adjective's meaning. "Absolutely/totally" go with extreme ("ungradable") adjectives, while "very/extremely" go with normal ("gradable") adjectives.\nThe film was very good. The film was absolutely amazing.
