Explication
Some verbs describe states, not actions (know, like, want, believe, need, understand) — we don't usually use them in the continuous form, even for now.
I know the answer. (not: I am knowing)
She wants a coffee. (not: She is wanting)
Exemple
I understand the problem, but I am thinking about a solution.
